National Prader-Willi Awareness in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on Friday, November 16, 2007Stay tuned for more national awareness for Prader-Willi syndrome. Look for the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association logo this coming weekend in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race to be held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway Friday night, November 16, 2007. The race will be broadcast on the Speed Channel. We have a commitment from Toyota and Mike Skinner, who is the points leader in the series for the year, to place the new Prader-Willi Syndrome Association logo on his Toyota truck. This effort has been graciously pursued by Jacob (JJ) Fiske's cousin, JB, who works on the Skinner team. To expand the excitement, with efforts from JB and the Tolbert family, ALL TRUCKS that evening might have the PWSA logo on each side of the vehicles and on the dash of the trucks that have on-board cameras. This is the last race of the season and Skinner is looking for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series title. According to a TruckSeries.com report, Skinner Faces the 'X' Factor at Homestead, "the Truck Series battle is now the undeniable headliner for NASCAR Championship Week in South Florida. Skinner vs. Hornaday. Toyota vs. Chevy." In the same report, Krista Voda, host of the SPEED NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series pre-race show NCTS Setup, said, "Friday's race at Homestead is going to be crazy.... Everything is just so heightened that you can't miss a single second. You can't step away from the TV for one second because that could be the moment that Skinner falters or Hornaday jumps into the lead. It's going to be so exciting that I wish it was tomorrow. I can't wait." Remember to watch this Friday night, November 16th!
