The Prader-Willi Alliance of
New York, (PWANY) is proud to be hosting our 20th annual conference on
April 29th, 30th & May 1st of 2010 at the Best Western Hotel on 1228 Western
Avenue, in Albany, NY.
We know it sounds like a cliché but we really can't believe it is twenty
years already!
Thanks to hard working parents and dedicated professionals we have a wonderful
story of success and hope to tell at this twenty year anniversary. Our children
are living longer with a much improved quality of life, not only for them, but
for the families as well. People with PWS go to school, they are employed, they
join community groups, they move into homes of their own; all the normal
transitions of life.
Because this is such a momentous occasion we are getting a early start on the
2010 conference. We are posting our Request for Proposals (RFP's) now and
requesting them back by October 31, 2009.
Help us host our 20th
conference with high caliber presenters! Do you know a professional
(nutritionist, social worker, etc.) or a family member (remember: families were
the first “experts” on PWS) that might give a good presentation on a topic
related to the care and treatment of people with PWS? Invite them to submit a
proposal by going to our web site at :
www.parder-willi.org and have them download and fill out our RFP form and
send it in to us.
We hope that you will be part of our celebration of twenty years of progress by
joining us at the conference. Come celebrate the success you helped to create!
